About Wordly

Wordly is a free word game with a new challenge every day. The idea is simple: find the secret word in six tries, with words of 4 to 7 letters. There is nothing to install and no sign-up, and it works on phones and computers.

Besides the daily challenge, the site has an endless mode to practice as much as you like, a calendar to play the days you missed and a statistics page with your win streak. The game is also available in Portuguese and Spanish.

If you enjoy Wordle-style games, Wordly is an unlimited alternative: the same idea of guessing a word in six tries with color clues, but with no daily cap on play and with longer words as a challenge.

How the game works

You have six tries to find the secret word. After each guess, the letters turn green (right letter in the right spot), yellow (right letter in another spot) or gray (letter not in the word). You can pick words of 4, 5, 6 or 7 letters, and each length has its own challenge.

How the word of the day is chosen

Each day has one word per length, taken from our answer list and the same for everyone. The change happens at midnight in your device's time. The answers to days that are already over are on the past answers page, and today's answer never appears there.

Our principles

The game is free and needs no sign-up. We do not ask for personal data to play: your progress stays only in your browser. To cover costs, the site may show ads, as described in the privacy and cookie policies. The articles on the site are written by the team, with numbers calculated from our own word lists.

An independent game

Wordly is an independent game made by Roghan Games. It is not affiliated with Wordle, The New York Times or any other word game or its owners.

Who makes it

The site is run by Roghan Games LTDA, a Brazilian studio that develops mobile games. The same game is also available as an app:

About the words

The game's words come from lists we put together, with common words of each language, no proper names and no offensive terms. Still, no list is perfect. If you find a word that looks odd, wrong or that should be accepted, tell us on the contact page.

Your data

The game keeps your progress only in your browser. Read the privacy policy for the details.
